Amanda Johnston B.A., M.A., M.I.L., M.M.R.S., founder of D.Code Translations, is a translator from German and French to English with over fifteen years experience, and a graduate in German and French (BA Hons. - University of London) with a Master of Arts in Psychoanalysis (University of Kent at Canterbury).

In addition to working as a freelance translator her career has also included employment in:

• The Foreign & Commonwealth Office in London
• Two London-based advertising agencies
• Transmanche Link – the contractors for the Channel Tunnel
• Two market research agencies
• Freelance journalism
• Copywriting

She is also co-founder and director of Sagitta Consultancy Limited, a successful UK-based market research agency.

This varied experience across several disciplines has provided insight into a range of industries and their differing use of language, as well as continued involvement in business ensuring ongoing exposure to the latest trends in language and commerce in general.

Quotations are provided on a project-to-project basis, taking into account the specialist nature of the text and the language combinations involved.

Guide prices are between:

€90 (£60) and €150 (£100) per 1000 target words depending on the language combination and level of difficulty.
