Terms & Conditions
D.Code Translations
1. Introduction
Following are the general terms & conditions for business contracted between D.Code Translations and its clients.
2. Project specification and costs quotations
Projects are invoiced based on the number of words in the target language and clients may request a written cost quotation calculated on an estimate of the target language.
Clarification of text may be sought with regard, for example, to abbreviations or in-house terminology where these cannot be researched by other means.
Acceptable e-mail formats for over-typing are MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel, sent as zipped files if appropriate. Documents may also be sent in .pdf format, faxed or despatched to us and we will respect the specified layout as far as possible.
A quotation is valid for up to three months provided that there is no change to the specification.
3. Surcharges and cancellation fees
We reserve the right to apply a surcharge for any modifications or supplements to text made at the clients request and following receipt of documents already allocated.
A cancellation fee may be charged, at our discretion, for short notice cancellation (up to two days prior to the start date) where a translator is deemed to have refused alternative work.
4. Confidentiality
The directors guaranteed strict confidentiality with regard to all materials received and no information will be passed to any party other than the translator undertaking the project, who undertakes not to divulge or discuss its contents with any extraneous party.
5. Complaints
Translators contracted to D.Code Translations are selected according to their area of expertise and as such, are competent in the relevant field, however, in the event that the client is not satisfied with work undertaken, this will be rectified and a discount granted as appropriate.
6. Invoicing
An invoice for the full amount of the project is raised on completion in the currency agreed and is payable within 30 days of the invoice date.
