Amanda Johnston, owner of D.Code Translations, has been working as a translator since 1998. A graduate in German and French with masters degrees in both psychoanalysis and creative writing, her previous professional experience has included the following organisations and industries: the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, retail, the Channel Tunnel, advertising and market research. She therefore has a broad knowledge of a wide range of sectors and areas. She currently translates for end clients and agencies in Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, the UK, the USA and the Netherlands.

Regular projects include the translation of websites, marketing, advertising and promotional materials for a broad spectrum of end customers, for example, in the following sectors: market research, advertising, travel & tourism, passenger transport, financial institutions, sanitation manufacturers, industrial processing and the food industry.

Ihre Berufserfahrung erstreckt sich unter anderem auf die Zusammenarbeit mit folgenden Organisationen und Branchen: the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, der Betreibergruppe des Eurotunnels (Channel Tunnel), Einzelhandel, Werbeagenturen und Marktforschungsinstitute. Als Autorin hegt sie außerdem ein besonderes Interesse für das geschriebene Wort und seine besonderen Expressionen.
