Translating content from books and films requires a certain creative flair and an understanding of cultural nuances. An informed interpretation is called for to ensure an immersive and convincing experience for the reader or viewer. It is vital to convey the sense of what the writer intended in a way the target audience will appreciate and enjoy. This is a process of creation born of the original artistic endeavour.
With a Master of Arts in Creative Writing, I have a great interest in literature and film. Currently self-publishing a World War II historical fiction, I also write short stories and poetry.
Non-fiction books I have translated include:
The Big Book of Yoga Therapy by Remo Rittiner
Be Healthy with Yin Yoga by Stefanie Arend
My expertise includes translation and editing of short film scripts from German and French to English. I also work on film subtitling in these language combinations.
